RAPIDFIRE BULLETS #03 JULY 2010 RAPIDFIRE BULLETS JUL 2010 Road Worrior To iPad? Data Fails RAPIDFIRE BULLETS
To iPad, or not to iPad?

That is the ever present question. If you haven’t jumped onto the iPad bandwagon yet, Rapidfire has fiddled with it enough to provide a bit of an insider’s view to the new product.

The iPad's design is sleek, thin, lightweight and slightly smaller than a sheet of paper; perfect for carrying around and easy to use on the go. So much so that there is a new fashion line called iClothing available, for those who want the ‘convenience’ of carrying their iPad in their pocket.

The iPad has a lot to offer. Famous for the vast amounts of Apps designed specifically for this device from music, to video, and even HD YouTube. Listening to music on your iPad is literally just a touch away: just sync all of your music from your computer, or use the iTunes icon to access all the music you want (at a price).

The iPad can connect to either wireless internet, or to a 3G carrier when you’re out and about. Web browsing on the iPad is probably its most desirable feature. To "hold the web in your hands" is a great thing; no more hunching over to see the web page, or sitting at the desk to just browse around. You can also view all the open pages you have with a grid that shows thumbnails of those pages. The iPad makes it simple to manipulate the page with the touch of your finger, the browsing on the iPad far out performs other platforms currently available. It is speedy, easy, and just works.

For the technodes out there, the spec side of the iPad shows it weighs only 680 grams and is just 1.3cm at its thickest point. The 9.7” screen makes viewing HD movies vibrant and crystal clear, an excellent viewing experience.
